LIVE DINING SUMMER 2008

(June-September 2008)

EVENING PRIMROSE - medicinal wild plant - planted itself.
Evening Primrose, like other plants, have a symbiotic relationship with ants. The name evening primrose comes from the fact that the flowers open in the evening.

This is plant action, interconnected to insect action (in this case ants), interconnected to the human action-decision of letting wild species of plants, take their place among the controlled and cultivated plants. This is the action of a person (myself - Nicole Fournier), not acting to control where plants grow, and this action can happen alongside the action of deciding where to plant cultivated plants (which is controlled planting).
Harvesting of evening primrose leaves. The leaves of the wild & medicinal plant of evening primrose, can be eaten like spinach leaves
